yea when i first bought my gt i was getting ruffly 300 to a tank. well around 5k miles on the odometer i drove it to PA and back. i raced 1 smokey and the bandit t/a other than that was eally easy on it and got 425 miles to that tank. now im usually around 330-375 depending on my driving
I'm still quite a bit short of that. 425 miles? WOW! Maybe me lead foot, and city type driving just won;t net me that.
It'd be interesting to see what I'd get if I just cruised at 70-75 and let it go till she is empty.

You don't say what you're getting.

At a steady 75 mph - I get around 26 mpg!
Hell, I'm not getting that and I have 3.55 gears.... But this is mostly city type driving conditions...
Then again, I don't know how accurate everything is, cause the speedo has not been calibrated with the change to 20" wheels.

I fill up when the fuel light comes on, and it takes about 14.5 gallons to top it back off. Started out by getting 250 miles between fill-ups = roughly 17.5mpg. Since the oil change to Mobil 1, it's gone up to around 290 miles = roughly 20mpg.

The speedo is off by 3 mph.
there's a light? i just get the message center saying "fuel level low" it'd be kinda nice to have a light as well.

My car is a Deluxe GT, not a Premuim. So I do not have the info center, just a little illuminated gas pump(dummy light) that comes on when the car goes below like a 1/8 tank.

We have gotten that from day one. Last week, we went down to a B ball game 95 miles one way, and got 32 going, and 26 coming back up.

32mpg for the entire trip? What speed were you going? 60mph?

No, 32 going ei one way. 26 coming back home uphill. Average was 29 mpg. The road was very icy and curvy and speed was around 45-50 at most.
