I had gotten a built 302 longblock from Santa this year (Thanks Santa). I just dropped the car off to have them start the work this week. However, last night I had to cancel it![:@]

I got a call from my friend at the speed shop building my motor late last night (10:30 PM ). It turns out he came across a 2007 Shelby GT500 motor and trans. He tells me he made the deal for the motor and trans and wanted to give me first choice. Looks like I'm getting a SVT 5.4 liter instead now!!

He even said he'd sell my 2.6L KB and put a 2.8L on the new motor!!

Sweet!! Doesn't Whipple make a 3.3L that'll fit that motor though?

I understand Whipple does make a larger SC for this motor (thought it was a 3.4). However, this shop is the only licensed installer for KB in my state. So I'm going to go with what they know best.

Well I'm not really certain what will happen to the longblock now. The heads have been ported already and the parts are in for the assembly of the block.

However, I know they have several cars that they are building motors for....I imagine someones going to get a pretty good deal!
