adding hp
Yea...not to rub anything in but NO WAY is your car making 350rwhp. With that said, how are you going to react towards Steeda when it doesnt make the power? Will you get some money back or what?
ORIGINAL: 08Steeda
Nope, the purchase order states 350 RWHP and 370 RWTQ.
Between headers, intake manifold, charge motion plates, 90 MM Mass Air, Fuel Injectors, 4.10 gears, CAI, UDP, axle back exhaust.
But we will see once I get it to the Steeda Stampede and my own Dyno shop. I am only telling you what I have in writing and been told.
I am anxious to prove or disprove it too!
Keep in mind that they said the 2005 - 2007 engine and the Q package from Steeda would only get 335 RWHP. There is something different about the 2008. I do not know what those differences are yet. I am trying to find out specifically what is different.

Maybe they changed cams and heads???? If not, and again, this is being very aggressive. None of us can see how they can add 90 rear wheel HP with the list you provided. You need to jump all over this and get it straightened out. Either you misunderstand them, were not crystal clear stating rear wheel HP or they are selling you a bag of goods (that's an old saying)
Just look at Saleens mods, I think he even changed his floor mats to get an extra 1 HP and he isn't close to 350 rear wheel HP unless he's hiding a bottle in his trunk. Heck, you can't get there with a manny tranny let alone an automatic
Oh, one more thing. Even if the new 08 has secret sauce and is making 15WHP more than 05-07, then where do you think you start to the rear wheels; 275 WHP, 280WHP? Remmeber, you have an auto. Even if we allow 280 in this exercise, please line item the mods and come up with even 70 rear wheel HP gains.
This forum is great for helping each other. I had a moment after coming from a show and looking at cars with flames that I wanted to flame my ride. Everyone here saved me from myself and they were right. A buddy did some photoshopping with flames and it just looked silly.

Whatare the HP number for a stock GT? 300 right? The Bullett is at 315 HP. But is that at the crank or the wheels?
Here is what I found but I am still unclear on how this all equates to HP and Torque gains. Looks to me like:
The Charge Motion gives 10 + HP gain
CAI, HF Inlet and tune gives another 38 HP and 30 ft lbs of gain
Intake Spacer - states and increase of HP but not specific numbers
UDP is 10 HP gain
Steeda Short Throw Headers - Steeda claims a HP gain but not specific numbers
Steeda Axle-Back Exhaust System - States benefits of increased HP and Torque but not specific numbers
So that looks like a gain of 58 HP plus, right? But is this at the crank or the wheels?
The Steeda Q350 is an all American performance road car that is specifically engineered for the demanding performance enthusiast. With over 350 horsepower and 365 ft. pounds of torque at your command thanks to the Steeda engineered Cold Air Intake with our unique cool tube technology, Steeda balanced underdrive pulleys, Steeda performance exhaust, and our unique performance calibration the Steeda Q350 hauls down the quarter mile at 12.7 seconds at over 108mph on street tires!
Extensive engineering and comprehensive testing have evolved the Steeda Q350 in a world class performance vehicle of no equal.
After driving the Steeda Q around the historic Sebring International Raceway, Motor Trend Senior Feature Editor John Kiewicz commented that the Steeda Q “just destroys a stock Mustang†and that it is “street friendly and fierce on the race track.†See for yourself why Steeda is the preferred choice of discerning performance enthusiasts.
Steeda - Where Speed Matters
My research:
Steeda 1 Piece Drive Shaft - 2 tenths improvement in 1/4 mile 24 lbs less in rotating mass
Steeda UDP - 10 HP
Steeda CAI, HF Inlet and Tune - 38 HP and 30 ft lbs
Product Details
Steeda's new Cold Air Kit for the S197 produces the greatest power gains of any Cold Air Kit on the market. Testing has shown increases of up to 38 HP and 30 ft lbs of Torque to the rear wheels with Steeda's Cold Air Kit combined with our Custom SCT Tune.
Steeda Short Throw Headers - HP gain ??? you'll notice increased horsepower and torque, improved fuel economy and improved throttle response. The silver ceramic coating reduces under-hood temperature and improves engine compartment aesthetics.
Steeda Charge Motion Control Plates - 10+HP gain
Steeda Intake Spacer - HP gain ? Steeda's Billet Aluminum intake spacer is designed specifically for the S197 and up 3 valve Mustang. Made from Billet 6061 aluminum it is designed to give you more plenum volume for increased horsepower. The swirl design helps promote airflow by breaking the surface tension of the incoming air. An increase of horsepower and fuel mileage should be seen with this part. Kit includes instructions, gaskets and mounting hardware.
Steeda Axle-Back Exhaust System - Benefits:
Ultra High Quality T-304 Stainless Steel
Increased Horsepower & Torque
Improved Gas Mileage
Lighter Than Other Brands
90mm Mass Air Meter - ???? I am not sure what this does for my Stang?
FYI - I had my wife read the Purchase Agreement over the phone to me and the verbiage states 350 RWHP and 360 Ft Lbs RWTQ. I misspoke earlier I thought it said RWTQ was 370 - my bad.
I also have a call into Steeda.

below is right off the keys of one of our fellow members. if you search the forums, Internet etc, you will find this to be consistent.

Status: offline Here is my experience with the Aftermarket 62mm Throttle Body, I have dynoed my 2005 Mustang GT with an automatic trans. No other mods other than a K&N Aircharger.
First Run - Stock GT 250 HP
Second - Stock GT w/CAI 263hp
Third - Stock GT w/CAI and TB 269hp
fourth - SCT Tune w/CAI and TB 271hp 280Tq
Fifth - SCT Tune w/CAI Stock TB 272hp 282tq
The first number, also called the baseline is what should be of interest to you. the automatic tranny dyno'd out at 250 HP to the rear wheels. Now remember, that's from a 300HP engine. Do you see the actual power to the wheels? yes, the automatic ate up 50HP.The mannys eat about 35HP.
So, if your 08 really has some special sauce, as your Ford guy said, about 15HP, then let's say every single one of those ponies gets to the wheels you begin at 265 HP to the wheels. that means you need 85 HP more to the wheels with bolt ons. The description that you posted claims 350HP,not to the rear wheels. Your P+S seems to state differently. When you bring the car to a 3rd party dyno, you should expect to see around 300 HP to the wheels which would be just about right for an automatic making around 350 crank HP.
Yes, your P+S may say to the drive wheels. At the end of the day, you'll have a nice ride with about 300WHP +- which you can enjoy. I don't see any grounds for a lawsuit as how were you damaged? I know it's not what you want to hear but either every single one of us that have worked on cars for years and years and years and years (OK,you get that I've been around a while) and the guys that have spent $$$$$ on dyno pulls are all wrong, or someone just made a simple mistake on what they wrote on your order form.
Only you can come to that conclusion; we're all full of bull or someone at Steeda just made a simple mistake typing in WHP
I wish you well and once you get it all settled, let us know what happens; we do care.

Thanks everyone. As I mentioned before,I am still learning a lot! I have always been mostly a STOCK kind of guy and the understanding required to speak (in an educated manner) about Mod's is a bit daunting. But I will get it, especially with all the help on MF.
Like I have said all along, I am skeptical about what my understanding is from the Steeda folks as well.
The proof will be here soon enough this spring. All the debate, banteringand chit chat is helpful but the reality can only be proven or dis-proven by an independent dyno.
I will let you know what I find out and also what the Dyno proves in a couple months.
Although it will all change again when I have the Whipple installed!
Thanks everyone! :-)

Good question! Not sure. Figure out if they (Steeda) will make it good or at least work with me on the cost of new mod's. I mean the Purchase Agreement is a printed form not something some sales person wrote up. The GT purchase is a written Purchase Agreement fromt he dealership but the Steeda portion is NOT.
So I will ask them to make it good!
They are putting my car in the Ford Dealership for a Mustang Meet that will be onsite and they seem really cool and willing to help with just about anything so maybe they will have to pony up some goods to get it there.
That is what I paid an extra 15K over the GT price to get after all! And the form states "350 RWHP and 360 RWTQ" which is a direct quote from the Steeda Purchase Agreement.
Seems pretty cut and dry, black and white to me. If the car does not meet those specifications onthe Dyno then they have defaulted on a contract.
