Default reloading tune

I was going to reload my tune today, but when i read the directions on my xcal II it said that there were two fuses I need to pull before I load the tune. Is this really nessesary? Why do I have to pull those fuses?

Thanks,

Scott

No, it's not necessary on the S197's, at least not on my '07. However, it IS important to ensure that everything is turned off. IF you're battery goes kaput during the install (which is kinda stupid to think it would because the handheld draws so little current) it could really screw up the ECM or so I believe. But if you want to play it safe pull the fuses (IFthose fusesapply to the S197).

I reloaded my tune this afternoon without pulling the fuses. Went off without a hitch. Thanks guys for the explanation.

When I asked Brenspeed this same question they told me the directions that come with the XCal2 are old and it is not needed on the S197
