Default Where are you setting your Rev Limiter?

For you N/A guys with tuners, what RPM limit do you set in your Stang for max track performance allowing for engine longevity? 6,500, 6,800, ?

mine was at 6300 i shifted at 6200 because after looking at my dyno charts my car stopped producing the power at a certain rpm so i found that rpm number and shifted about 200 rpm above it so the next gear would fall right into the power range.

I don't do track but Brenspeed reset mine from the factory 6250 to 6500 RPM. They claim the 4.6Lkeeps pullingbeyond 6250.Works for me.

6250. Whipple keeps the factory limiter and i'm kinda glad I don't have a custom tune to change it.

Thats funny i was going to make the same thread. My question is WIth my mods Mainly considering the 4.10 wouldnt it be better if i can just rev the extra 200 rpm to say 6800 rpm. or shift at 6250 or 6500 rpm. Ive tryed to test it out but the benchmark is always different. so cant get any significant difference.

My tune has limited it to 6500. should i change it to 6800
and shift around there.??????

I have heard that the timing is being retarded anywhere from 200-400 rpms before where you have your limiter set at....so assuming that, you want to set it maybe 500 beyond where your car starts to drop in HP....all setups are very different so unless you have had yours dyno you wont really know where but shifting around 6300-6600 isnt going to be bad really
