Default $400 to spend. Tuner or CAI? Can't have both.

I'm leaning towards the tuner. Here's why:

1) My cars is an auto. I want more responsiveness & to eliminate the lag when accelerating.
2) I already spend a few $ on the K&N drop-in.
3) With my pypes mid-muffler system, my car is already too loud. I'm afraid of call too much attention from the cops. CA cops love to right noise tickets. Well, all types of tickets I guess.

Am I correct to assume the tuner will increase the responsiveness? Or will the CAI be better investment?

My car: '07 GT convertible premium, auto, k&n drop-in filter, pypes mid-muffler system, fender & trunk pony badges, (pony corral & fog light bezels coming soon)

$400. Just order the tuner. Brenspeed, bama, etc. Later add on a cai and get the revised tunes. Which would be updated for free if bought at Brenspeed. Tune would give you the most for the $. Dump the k&n drop in later.

Too loud with the mid muffler system? What

I would wait personally and get both at the same time but if you 'have' to have it now - I'd choose tuner but put the CAI on my list for ASAP...

I guess. Can't see why anyone would want to remove the roof though.
