I check my blower oil every time I open the hood. It hasn't changed in 5k miles. It's nice to be able to see the oil level through the glass window, plus you can see what the oil looks like.
Has your kennebell been leaking internally or externally?

I use a squeezy ketchup bottle and a piece of clear fuel line to suck the oil out of my Kenne Bell.
You can get the ketchup bottle @ Wall mart for $1.99
and the clear plastic fuel line from Advanced Auto Parts.
