Default Kooks LT's install

I had a shop quote me $700 to install the Kooks headers and X-pipe. they said that they would remove the front suspension and k-member from the car, install the headers and replace the suspension. It’s an 8-12 hour job to install these. Does this sound right?

Lol hey blue i see you added that your avatar is not your fiancee in your sig now.. lol.. I asked you about that a long time ago... Anyways back to the point on hand, I did my lt header install in my own garage.. You do not have to remove the k memeber and you and a buddy should be able to do it with the right tools.. If ya lived in tx around me i would do it for 300 bucks lol..

Heck NO! Check with someone else then. I did my my own. (I have Kooks) Have a friend over to help and see how much easier it is than $700.

wrong...that quote is ridiculous...Now dont get me wrong I have receiveda similarquote before...mine were installed in about 5 hours by real speed racing for $300. no brace removal or engine mounts switching necessary. NOW I AM SPEAKING about kooks. I have read and heard where other headers required you to do that..but I am not 100% sure as I just heard that....others have installed the kooks on there own without issue.....go somewhere else....
