which battery relocation kit?

Default which battery relocation kit?

I have no idea which one to order from summit. they have like 15 different one pricing from 40 bucks through 200. Anyone know a decent one? Or what am i exactly supposed to be looking at..

I looked at these some time ago and by the time you add up the weight of the new box, cabling, etc. (not to mention the PITA) the benefit is negligible. Unless forced there by some sanctioning body, I would think one of the light(er)weight replacement batteries might be a better choice?

I haven't done this as I figure I'll get around to it when the stocker dies

i need to move it to the trunk for weight distribution and to make from for a larger intercooler resevior under the hood. Ill just call my tuner tomorrow and ask him about how he does it on the 05+

It's not about weight reduction, it's about shifting the weight. In this case a 50-60 lb item that's stuck out there at the front of the vehicle...like a 60 lb weight on the end of a 15 ft lever. Two things to consider though 1. you'll losea good amount of trunk space 2. You'll have to follow NHRA rules if you go to a sanctioned track...like having a power cut-off switch on the rear most part of the vehicle.Can't remember make but picof mine and cut-off switch.
