question for you gear heads (auto)
wouldn't 3:73s be a better gear then 4:10s? I am thinking that the 4:10s would be a little overkill,
I don't see how 1st or 2nd doing anything more then spinning the wheels especially when the
whp numbers bump up past the 300s.[:'(]

RE: question for you gear heads (auto)
I got 3.73s, I am never on the highway so probably could have got away with 4.10s but I think the 3.73s are a good
performance on the strip vs. economy trade off. If your car isnt a daily driver then get 4.10s !!!

RE: question for you gear heads (auto)
Ive got 3.73's in mine. At 70mph, the car is revving at 2400 rpms.
Anyway, there are a few autos in here that have 4.10's and they really like them. I may switch to 4.10's in the near future.

RE: question for you gear heads (auto)
i am running 4.10s in my auto and they are not too much at this point. I have replaced the LCAs and the car sticks great. I am getting ready to install a Saleen SC so it will be a totally dif world once I am done. I am told there are lots with this setup that is fine but we shall see. keep in mind i was spinning the wheels all the time with the 4.10s until i replaced the LCAs. that made a a huge dif.

[align=left]Desslock40 is right if your car is not a DD go with the 4.10s, but if you drive highway miles on a regular basis go with the 3.73s. The 4.10s will just burn a little more gas than the 3.73s would.

RE: question for you gear heads (auto)
I don't do alot of highway driving except in the summer time and that's mostly to cruise the highways and in between other towns.I don't plan on dragging at every stop light either but
do plan on lighting it up on a few deserted stretches of road every now and then against the local ricers. I think 3:73s will be just right/3:90s at the most, from all the vids I have seen, all 4:10s
do is spin the tires off the line. Other then LCAs/tires what else are you all doing to get all that power to the ground?
