Hey, welcome Joe, You may want to buy the FRPP stingers they are the same muffler that is made by Borla but have the Ford Racing logo on them instead of the borla logo. and they are a lot cheaper. saw them on ebay for $419 blue oval store iI believe.

I also found a JLT intake from Ebaymotors, BTW I'm confused is Brenspeed a maker of the JLT intake or just a seller? B/C if I get JLT, whats the tuner that goes with it, SCT? Also, is that a good price for brand new?

The reason why I look at new ones is becaues I don't trust the used ones and I only settle for Brand New stuff.
Thanks,
Joe

Hey Joe i dont want to steal the advice people are giving you but i am also new to this and i just installed my LT header with the xpipe with cats and i am having issues with the check engine. i disconnected the battery so it would temperally fix it. i was told to get a tuner. will the brenspeed package with the xcallibrator work to delete the o2 sensor? any advice for me will be really helpfull. thanks

RE: New Here, Need Advice
Yes, the tuner can shut-off the O2 sensors in the tune. Whomever you work with, tell them what mods you have so that they can incorporate them into the tune. You guys are on the right track with Brenspeed. As you can tell I'm a bit biased but they do great work and the customer service is second to none.

RE: New Here, Need Advice
Sorry for the double post, I was also wondering if there was anywhere I can get a nice engine cover like the one from the GT package on the car. I love the look of it and want to put it on it the day I get it.
Thanks
Joe

RE: New Here, Need Advice
I had another question about choosing exhaust, what exactly is drone? I have a sense of what it is but I need a better definition.
BTW here is what my setup will consist of:
JLT2/XCAL2 CAI - http://www.brenspeed.com/mustang_2005/airkittuner.html
Borla Stingers Axelback exhaust - http://www.capaldiracing.com/isell3/product.php?id=341 or http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Borla...em140208868529
Is that a good and trustable site to get brand new stingers and also for the cai? I also want the Borla one not FFRP because I want the bigger tips and the borla logo on them
Thanks!
Joe

RE: New Here, Need Advice
JJ - I agree you MUST get a CAI which requires a tune - if you don't you WILL regret it.
Auto - vs - stick I think depends on how you will spend your play time. I live in NYC and the traffic a BAD ! But I like to take my car drifting and will be doing autocross / roadracing this season. For both performance and longevity - stick was the ONLY thing I could get. If you just like to thrash occasionally - auto would probably be a nice luxury ! [trust me - the traffic is 10x worse with a manual trans - mostly when you're going too slow to maintain 1st gear - I tollerate it only for the thrill of banging through the gearswhen it's play-time]
