Default Steeda CAI w/ high flow elbow

I am not happy with the HP gains from my K&N kit, does anyone have the below kit?

http://www.americanmuscle.com/steeda...-cai-full.html

Does the high flow elbow add the power they Steeda claims?

Thanks,

Scott

I have that exact intake. I did notice a significant gain when i installed it along w/ a brenspeed tune. Im not sure about the difference between teh intake w/ the inlet elbow vs. the intake with the stock rubber tube.

It was pretty easy to install. I did notice that the machine work on the maf housing had some monor imperfections in it, and there isnt much clearance between the blue silicone coupler and the power steering resivior. It hasnt moved or rubbed, its just close, maybe 1/8".

Heres a pic (kinda crappy its from a cell phone)

This looks like the set up I have, along with a 93 tune from a local Mustang shop, Stang-Hi. I have the graphs of my before and after dyno runs at home. I will post the numbers Friday evening (out of town right now).

I have the Steeda with tune from Brenspeed.

I noticed a difference immediately, especially throttle response, but have no dyno numbers to prove it.

The Steeda requires a tune also. Stand-alone CAI's that don't require a tune might net you 2-4 HP. Brenspeed sells the CAI and tune combos (as do others) which will net you in the 15-25 HP range, perhaps more. I have their Steeda combo which includes the high flow elbow.

I use the Saleen intake tube along with the Steeda intake. The Saleen tube is the one which comes with their superchargers upgrade kit. It is beefier than the Steeda tube, and looks a lot better IMO.

I have it too...don't use the Steeda tune though. I'm running the VMP 93 tune. Big difference between the two tunes.
I am very satisfied with this combo.
