Hurst rattle

RE: Hurst rattle
I have the same problem, believe it or not, the rattle is from the 2 screws holding the shift arm on. The locking washers they provided don't work very well. If you slip your boot off and lift the bottom cover down you will notice both screws are backing out and need retightened. The easy way to check for this is just go out to your car and move the shifter back and forth while it's in gear, if it moves a bit front to back...it's the screws backing out. I posted about this same problem a year ago and got that answer. I know there was a way to fix it, but I have been to lazy to do so and I have allen keys in my car anyway, so I just tighten them when needed, but I wouldn't suggest that, it's a pain. Maybe a nut to fit it will work, I haven't checked into that yet.
