Default FRPP FL820 Oil Filter - Really?

Is anyone using the FRPP filter? Is it hype or worth using? If so, what are the tangible benefits? Who makes it for them?

I don't see why you'd need it, especially if you change your oil regularly anyway.

I used a couple and then switched to the regular Ford filters, didn't notice any difference.

Better is good, I got one last weekend for 10.00. When you have an investment and the money why not buy the best? Can't hurt.

I use K&N oil filters. I've compared the filtering capability of K&N versus cheapo auto parts store brands, and there is no comparison. I don't mind spending a little extra buck for a better product. I've heard nothing but good things about the FRPP filters. My advice, try them out for yourself.

In that case, you need to change your oil & filterafter 10 miles.

But I have faith in the Amsoil oiland Motorcraft filter. More expensive doesn't mean better. There's enough data out there to support not spending almost 3 times as much for a filter.

The Ford Racing filter is made by motorcraft. Just better than the standard.Don't you just love oil and oilfilter threads. So many opinions out there. Who's right, who's wrong. My filter is better than your filter etc.

edit: howermat had the link in a previous post. one of a hundreds of oil filter studies too. Mindspring link will show the results of one test.

Motorcraft oil filters are made by Purolator.
