Default Tune going bad

I have a 93 octane tune from brenspeed with 95mmC&L. It is getting noticeably worse with time. When i first got it was great. Now it goes from semi sluggish at below 3 grand to very peppy right after 3 grand. Under steady accelleration you woudl think i feather the clutch or hit the gas down. Is anyone else falling into this? Maybe this is to be expected.

My old cars computer had a learning curve (WRX), is this computer the same way?

Maybe it is because it goes between 40 degrees and 70 degrees from night to day?

Should i see about getting new tunes from brenspeed?

cheers

what if you just reflash the current tune....that helps many people.

Reflash; IIRC, the computer does learn and adjust to driving habits over time.

Are you sure you're not just getting used to the power?

Maybe your just getting accustomed to the power.
Surge may be whenthe CMCV blades open up.
I thought I could feel it with the stock 3.31:1 gear.

I just received my CMCV deletes from Brenspeed today.

I've posted about this before. The motor makes a very noticeable transistion at 3000 rpms and I do believe it's the CMCV plates fully opening. It's most obvious if you hold part throttle through that particular rev range. It's a little annoying because it isn't very smooth. It reminds me of my wife's old Honda Prelude with the 2.2L VTEC motor.

Getting worse over time sounds like the adaptive learning thing about the throttle needs to be reset. It's not clear which tunes - if any - can completely disable this function.

There are at least a couple of threads with instructions on how to do this, so try a search on "throttle reset" or similar words/phrase.

I thought this was happening to me as well- but I think we were both just getting used to the tune. In my case, I contacted Doug from BAMAchips about it, and he told me that the Adaptive learning feature is turned OFF with his tunes. I cannot tell u if Brenspeed is the same.

But, I will tell you this though, I had Doug e-mail me a new tune a few days agofor my Emissions test (NYS- needs to be done on saturday); I loaded the tune last night, and you have no IDEA how sluggish the car feels with basically similiar timing to stock. The car feels SLOW- cant wait till I put the 93 tune back in.

Note: the emissions tune was done so that I didnt have to switch to the stock air box, and still had adjustments for my 3.73's. Doug @ BAMA is the man- now lets see if I pass lol.

Isn't the boost we feel around 3000rpms the variable cam timing kicking in?

In the mornings my car was sluggish from 3000-4000 then after 4000 it was fine after a few minutes of driving it went away. I cleaned the MAF but that didn't do anything. I then cleaned my throttle body and the sluggish went away.
