Default After curbing my car, my brakes are squeaking HELP

Driving home the last week, I hit some ice and curb the mustang quite hard on the driver side rear.[:@] I think I even bent the rim[:'(] but there stock and I have summer rims. Since then, my brake squeaks when during moderate braking. Hard and soft brakingI don't hear it. I took of the wheel and didn’t see any broken part. Can you guys give me suggestions on what to check. This is going to drive me nuts, and if I can't fix it I'm going to take it in. If I take it in then I have less money of mods. We all don't want that.

Thanks
Ryan

Were you able to remove the wheel and replace it without difficulty, (small chance a Lug Stud is bent and causing the rotor tobe positioned a bit off - most times the stud will brake and not bend - but happened to me once in an older car). It is also very possible that Ren274u is on the money with the axel !

Someone told me to check the 3rd link make sure that tight. Is that the UCA? could that cause this problem?

okay, how do make sure the end of the axle is true to the tub? if it was the axle wouldn't squeak all the time that I'm moving?

I'll check the studs the next time I pull the wheel off? but wouldn't that also squek all the time?

After i was ran off the road and my wheel hit the churb i got this sqeaking like you. The wheel looked straight, so i took the wheel off, and looked down between the axle housing end, and the abs exciter ring. One side looked off slightly, and as i turned the wheel it was a small wobble. This inturn wobbled the rotor on every turn, causing the sqeeking. Then my mechanic ran the car on a lift to be sure and he said the whole wheel was moving so i was right. Changed axle and no more problem

An axle will run you around $240 for some hardened steel Moser's from Summit Racing. Thats the cheapest I've seen. Mine is bent as well, so I have an identical problem.

I am going to have mine installed just because I have no experience with a rear end. As for how much it costs... I am not sure yet. Also make sure you get 31 spline. I couldn't find if it was 28 or 31 spline ANYWHERE so just fyi, its 31. Haha even my dealer didn't know... they're a load of help.
