Unless someone more knowledgeable chimes in, then only time will tell. I don't plan on going beyond what you're making to the wheels. I would be completely happy with that, so I'll keep researching.

Define rebuild? Is there a kit for these transmissions? Or are we stuck with having to buy an aftermarket?

480 rwhp on a stock A5 ? jeez dude ... I dont give more than another 2K miles in your tranny until it melts. And sry i'm not wrong ! [&:]

I hope for his sake that you're wrong. Is it an issue of cooling, or other parts that can't take it?

Stock tranny isnt made to hold up that much, nothing wrong with it.

just buy a 8 psi pulley and you will be way safer. better pay $140 for a pulley than a new tranny.
