Default Backfiring on Launch

i searched for backfiring and all that came up was stuff when the cars were cold, i dont think this is something to worry about, but i just wanted to double check. i launched the car today after letting it warm up (a half hour ride on the highway) and did a burnout and as i was about to shift, before i let off the gas, i heard 2 successive pops in a row. i cant imagine why it would be bad, also considering the car ran fine afterwards, i just want to make sure there isnt like this little rule out there that i dont know about saying your car will die if this happens. im just worried about my baby . thanks in advance

I was wondering if it was u pinging off the redline as well, You said "before I let off the gas" Im no backfire expert but I thought backfires happened after you let off the gas, not during

Did it sound like it came from onder the car or under the hood?

If it sounded like it was under the car while you were on the gas it could have been unspent gas in the cat's. Are you running rich? Possible plug going bad ? Any codes?

it wasnt under the car, but how can i check codes on it or how can i tell that its running rich? with the tune, there was some preignition knock until the thing warms up, so i throw some 89 octane in it (87 tune), could that have anything to do with it?
