The FRPP Shorties on your post are silver ceramic coated stainless steel. Not sure if the BBK's come with a ceramic coating, but I am pretty sure they do have equal length primaries. I am not trying to plug what I am using, but you may want to check out the JBA shorites, particularly if you want CARB approved headers.

I don't need them to be carb legal, but I would like them to be stainless steel and ceramic coated.
Sounds like JBA's to me. Do not buy directly from their site though. I got my 1675SS's ('05 Mustang Silver Ceramic coated Stainless Steel) for $355 off of eBay. Took a while to find them at that price, but much better than JBA's retail of $565.

FYI: I installed a set of ceramic coated shorty equal-lenght headers that I got on eBay for $168 delivered. I got the same results as everyone else: I felt more than a 5hp gain, it quited the "machine gun" noise the exhaust made at 2,500 rpm, and they fit with no clearance issues or exhaust leaks. Not only did it quiet that down, but it gave the car a smoother ride. I used to think my phone was vibrating in my pocket, and it was just the rumble of the exhaust. Ever since I put in the headers, the ride is smoother and I haven't pulled my phone out of my pocket to check if I got a call once.........well, unless I actually got a call.

I would not call the install easy, though.........I thought it was a PITA.

I am very glad I went with the shorties and not the expensive LTs. From what I gathered from this thread, I'm glad I went with some cheap ones instead of paying twice as much for a similiar product that gave you guys the same results it gave me. I figured as long as they are equal length, headers are headers. In this case, I think I was right.

Sound Clips ?

Dyno Sheets ?
This is a repost of something I threw out there a week or so ago... but since you asked for Dyno stuff, I thought I'd re-post it. I've looked a bit more for other Dyno sheets, but haven't come up with any just yet.

Just because I happened to be looking for actual dyno charts for headers this afternoon... The JBA Cat4Ward equal length shorties seem to make some quite impressive numbers.

According to their dyno testing, just adding those shorties was good for 21HP and 25LbFt.

Mind you, that is on a car that already has a CAI, Tune, pullies and a new set of mufflers... so if you're running a bone stock engine, you might not see the same numbers. But for $380.73 from the factory (for plain stainless) it might be worth it.

From the same company, their Longtube headers, catted H-pipe, and mufflers were good for an extra 23HP and 28LbFt. (basically, a whole new exhaust) Based on the chart, I have to assume this is compared to bone stock, as there is no notation to the contrary.

Also, I was looking at Dynatech's LongTube with Catted X-Pipe...

On a stock Mustang those are good for 22HP but only 9LbFt, and even then you don't start getting real gains until way high in the band.

Based on what dyno charts I've been able to find for various solutions I've considered, I'd say a good high quality shorty would be worth it, If you've already paid good money for a high-flow mid-pipe solution. If you didn't already have a mid-pipe, then I would probably suggest the LT headers. Keep in mind, if you choose a LT you're going to be locked in to that company's mid pipe, unless you want to shell out for custom fabrication.

I would like to note that I am not endorsing any product here, I swear. These are simply the charts I could find (yes, they're provided by the manufacturer, but the dyno used is credited). If I had spent more time, i could probably have found more... but again, these are solutions I was personally already looking at.

Usually, but not always the case. For example, Hooker LT Headers fit perfectly with Pypes splice-in shorty X-pipe, since the long tubes stop exactly where the stock cats stopped. This worked well for me, considering I got ceramic LTs and a new midpipe for less than $700.
