Hey Dex, why would the tranny metal plate be making noise now? I never used to hear it..........I'm scared to even datalog it with the 3.375" pulley it rattles so much.

I am going to throw the 3.625" pulley on it tonight, and try 3rd & 4th gear full throttle from 2000RPM. If I still get the horrible rattle, I'm pretty sure that leaves me with the tranny plate. Going to try and datalog the knock sensors as well.....see if they show anything.

That's probably a good idea. No sense datalogging detonation on a supercharged car. I've never heard any pinging with either pulley, but I did get the whipple tune for 91 and always run 93 octane so that's probably why.

The inspection plate on the trans would have been rattling before the supercharger install.

Well, ran the 3.625" pulley tonight, and the rattle is still there. Got my old man to have a listen, and he doesn't think its pinging. Im going to take a local mechanic for a rip tomorrow, and datalog to see if the knock sensors are showing anything. Its only between 2500-3000 RPM.....and since 4th gear is in that zone longer at full throttle, you hear it more.
Since I was running the 3.625", I'm really thinking its not engine knock.

Today I got 12 mpg!! [&:]
