Default Problem with rpm's

I noticed while driving tonight when I let off the gas and was coasting I looked at the tach and the rpm's was bouncing between 800 and 1100 rpm. I gave it some gas no miss , it ran as normal, I pulled it in the garage and it idled okay. I did notice the other day at a red light the rpm's were flucturating some. I cleaned my throttle body a couple of days ago it looked real clean didn't see any dirt come out at all. No codes at all, do you think my throttle body is going bad ?

i would say that is somewhat normal......it is a fast flucuation or goes down to 800 for a for seconds then comes hangs, then comes back down

Thanks for the reply; another quick question when I sit and idle for a couple of minutes the car starts to run real rough as though the plugs are loading up, I give itsome gas and its fine for awhile ,it just started doing this recently. How long do plugs last when FI ?

RPMs should be a bit high 1100-1200 until car stops rolling then it should settle to about 800.

clean out the throttle body. get some CRC or STP t/b cleaner, spray it out, wipe it out, and i'll be fine.

You didnt learn how to read in school did you

Anyway, you should have changed plugs when you did the s/c install so they should be fine. If you didnt change the plugs, i would change them now to a colder heat range and see if that fixes your problems. I am suprised they have lasted this long if they are the stock plugs

^9999 You got the kit from brenspeed I would assume. The kits comes with the plugs so I'm guessing you would have changed them. Depending on your mileage it might be about time to change the fuel filter, just throwing out some opinions.

I had this issue a few times and it was ALWAYS solved in the tune so I say a small tune adjustment for sure.
