Default anyone else have this problem?

i just got a new 08' 4.6L GT and this has happen to me at least four times i will be in 1st gear and i will floor it and then my engine goes crazy and the RPMs will fly up to 6000 and even thou my foot isnt on the gas the engine will still be racing and i need to turn off my car to stop it... anyone else having this problem?

Sounds like a bad pedal assembly. They'll probably unplug it then plug in a new one..

Make sure your floor mat isn't holding the gas pedal down or carpet. If not then you have some kinda problem and first one i've see with it.

+1 on check the floormat. My car did this to me when I picked it up from the dealer for warranty work shortly after I bought it.. The service department had turned the floor mat over to keep it clean, and the little plastic spikes were holding onto the gas pedal..

first its a powerful car so remove your foot from the gas pedal when it scares you ;-) lol
jk
id have a mechanic look at it befor you fly into a brick wall. and you might want to leave you TCS on until you get to one.
