Default Problem shifting

I've been driving this car for year now and whenever i go to shift i get this sound like the engines gonna stall, kinda when you don't give it enough gas in 1st. i give it some gas when i shift and it still makes the noise. Sometimes its not even when i shift. if im in second goin 20 andfloor iti still get this noise. Maybe its the way i drive i dunno. Probally time to go to the dealer or change my driving habits.

this part almost sounds like your
engine is pinging....

other than this part of your description, it
sounds like lugging....

well i only heard it once like when i was taking a turn slamming the gas but i was in second doin 15 and slammed it thats only time i heard it like that. i usually shift to 2nd at 20mph and i shift to 3rd at 35 or 40. i keep my rpms around2,000 when im cruising around.

if you're running regular gas, you could try
a higher octane for awhile and see if this
noise goes away....if it does then it might
have been pinging

I had a couple differnt cars do things like this, check your air intake my friends MR2 was doing the exact same thing and we removed his CAI filter and the problem went away, it was just a bad filter he bought a new one and the problem was gone,
The other problem was a little bit of water or grunge or something in my buddys camaro we removed the tank and did a complete drain and then had a gong show of a time puting it back in but the problem was gone.
