Default $5000 left to spend ?

I have $5000 left to spend on my GT, I would loveto get a SC but I only have $5000 exactly so I am thinking of another route, what you guys think? Here is my reasoning, when i get a SC i want the best, (Whipple or Kenne Bell intercooled, etc....)$5000 is not enough to get one of those plus installation plus extras needed to do it right, so i can still build up the car in other areas, I am pretty confident after i pay this car off it will become a race car so plenty of time for FI, really want to build up the components in the meantime, the tranny (auto if anyone ever comes out with a bullettproof) and internals on the engine.

If I just want to get typical bolt-ons the grocery list I am thinking about includes:
1 piece driveshaft = $700 installed
Torque Converter = $1200 installed
Comp Camshaft = $1100 installed
CMDPS = $500 installed

Leaves me with $1500 to play with (probably get some nice 18" wheels/tires), any thoughts.

ORI coulddo a stroker kit, get forged internals, pick up a nice hp/tq boost and be ready for a major SC in the future,
probably $4500-$5000 installed, would give up all the goodies above but for the future of the car I would be heading in the right
direction.

Any thoughts, am I way off on my numebers, just want to get the most out of the $5000 !!!

Do you have to spend it now? You're so close to the cost of a whipple.

If you know you're gonna build a race car then this would be a great starting point. No need in getting CMDP's if you're gonna go twin screw, at least with the Saleen, not sure about the whipple (notice how I capitalized Saleen & not whimple).[8D]

I may just save up a couple more and get the KB 2.4 , I just don'tfeel greatabout putting a big twin screw on and running a decent amount of boost on stock internals and stock tranny, thats why I hesitate, I still have a 1 year or 15000 miles of warranty on this car !! lol

Just thought the "build-up" idea , even though not instant satisfaction, wouldstill improve my ETs now and work for more robust modifications in the future.

No use in getting CMDPs with the whipple (which is capable of 8 lbs more boost than a saleen) either. The whipple comes with a completely new lower intake manifold.
