the pumpsare in the gas tanks.
Filter is under the car under the drivers seat area

I think I will buy one on the way home since my 'Stang has 28,000 miles.

How hard is the change one of these out, does it make a mess with gas?

not hard. couple of bolts to get the plastic out of the way. then a quick disconect tool and its off. you lose a little gas but not much. not too messy of a job.
