back in highschool, summit was a little shop up on Kennedy Rd in Akron, the sales counter area was about the size of my livingroom from what I remember...First time I saw the new store I about fell over- but they were and still are a pretty darn good place to shop, and I think their growth reflects that. We had Summit, Midwest and Oties speed shop locally - all were good to deal with, but dunno where midwest went, Oties closed up years ago... but man did Summit take off.

Summit messed up, then man'd up. Good old fashioned customer service.

Summit is a stand-up company. I accidentally advertised shipping at $12 instead of $120 for an item I sell on ebay. I stood by the mistake (was totally willing to eat the cost) and the buyer was so impressed by the integrity of that decision that he offered to split the difference in price that I had misprinted. I've since had repeat business from the same buyer. Just goes to show, customers respond well to good business practices.

I got the same letter but my situation was different because I didn't order from their website. I read a thread on them being priced cheap, then called them on the phone a few days later. I figured the low price of $4.95 per plug was not going to last so when the salesman asked me if I wanted to have my credit card billed when they shipped or right away, I had them charge me right then and there.
I still haven't received the plugs but I don't think anyone should hold this against them after they realized there was a mistake. I'd bought from them previously and won't hesitate to do so again.

what do you mean? So far everyone that has called in before the plugs were on the website has gotten the plugs or the letter stating this price would be honored? How is this bad service?
