hmm..I've built several 302's in the past but I'm weary of the ohc in these cars. You do raise questions though. Is there a handbook out there with the 3v breakdown in it?

I would not just throw that assemblyin there. You should have the block hot-tanked, freez plugs replaced, check the deck for trueness, balance rotating assembly and more. What about new head gaskets and ARP studs for the heads? Can you mic out the crank and main bearings/rod bearings to ensure proper clearance? If you know how to blueprint an engine then you should be okay.

I'm all for doing things myself, as you're aware, but even I would feel more comfortable installing a allready assembled short block, than to pull the guts out of my stock block and install new guts.;)
