How much to port and polish heads?
Hey,
How much would it cost to port and polish the stock heads? If I decide to do this then I will take the heads off myself and take them to a shop. Does anyone know of a good shop i nthe southern California area? Thanks.

For an essentially stock engine, do it yourself. Even a pro job won't make that much more power, so why pay for it.
Polish the rough spots out of the chamber, and smooth out the casting flash from the ports.Port match the intake manifold to the heads. That's pretty much it. It takes a few hours and a box of sanding rolls. But it's not hard.

I talked to another shop by my house and they want $2360. If I do it will go with MMR and I am going to put cams in at the same time. I want to stay N/A I think. In the future I am going for a stroker kit.

But seriously, I would leave it to the professionals. I think MMR is one of the more affordable companies out there
