Personally I would not spend the $$ on either, I know the tuners are not cheap but it opens an entire world of possibilites. For the CAI go with Steeda or C&L it seems that most have good luck with those.
Don't do it. Get the intake, tuner combo with the three custom tunes. Since you have an auto trans, you would want a tune for the firmer and revised shift points.
Don't believe too much in the no-tune part. Thats why many bought and car ends up throwing a cel or going into limp mode.
Go for the tune and a respectable intake. Jlt, c&l are great. The tune brings out the whole feel of the gain, not the intake itself.

No the tuner itself will not void your warranty, but you tune might. If you are that worried about it get the FRPP kit

Don't go with the ford power pack and get their junk tune on the pro cal. Get a good custom tune; bama, brenspeed, etc. Not from ford. Don't throw away any more money through ford. Of course, they will say they have to install the parts to remain warranty. X cal 2 or 3 tuner, custom tunes loaded, and a jlt or c&l intake will do you good.
If you go CAI and TUNE, keep the OEM airbox for returning
it to stock and reloading the stock tune before going to the
stealership for CAI related problems. They cant void your
warranty if they dont know you have been running a tune
and CAI.
A properly matched CAI and TUNEreally wakes up the OEM
Ford detuned engine. WOW has been used over and over to
describe it.

If you intend to mod
1) good mods shouldn't cause damage so it doesn't really void your warranty.
2) If the mod did cause the damage then you will have to pay for the repair.
3) If you can't afford to do that then don't mod till your warranty expires.
4) Those package kits are expensive and you wont see much in gains.
5) With an auto you will notice more from a tune than from a CAI.
6) Welcome to the never ending money pit.
7.. if you really want to just do a cai/tune for now remove it and reset your tune back to factory before taking it in to the dealership to avoid any possible warranty hassles.

The CAI alone MAY add 3-5 RWHP.... possibly more but I kinda doubt it. It's the tune that provides the bigger bang for the buck. Be aware that even though some CAI's state that you don't NEED a tune, some have been know tothrow a CEL (Check Engine Light), typicallydue to running lean.
