Default Potential electric problem? Gauges staying on

Hey guys,

This all started last night. I went to turn my car off, took my key out of the ignition and then my gauges all stayed on, my headlights were off, and the gauges were white, rather then being blue like i have them set to on mycolor. But then also, my deck stayed powered on too, almost like my key was in the ignition. So I push in my clutch to start my car again just to see if that was the problem, and all of the sudden everything powered off, my gauges turned off, my deck turned off and the overhead lights turned off. But I released my clutch and everything turned back on. My alarm was also inactive. I pressed the lock button twice expecting to see my parking lights flash and my alarm activate. But all it does is locks. Anybody ever have this happen? My car is still under warranty, but I figured i'd double check to see if it was a user error before I take it in to the dealer. Thanks in advance.

Well if you wired the gauges to any of the ignition/radio circuits in the fusebox, then the gauges will stay on like the radio does until you open the door or push in the clutch.
All S197 Mustangs do that. The MyColor goes off when your lights go out so the gauges would not have the Mycolor effect working with lights out either.
The only weird thing is you said they went back on.

Is the carpet wet on the passengers side?
How about the pad underneith the carpet?
You might have the "leak" and your SJB has gotten wet.
