Codes P2106 and P2135 at the same time
Has anybody else had this problem? It's been coming and going for several months now.
Basically out of the blue the check engine light and wrench light will come on and the engine goes into limp mode. Turning the car off and then re-starting brings it right back to life. The wrench light goes out and the engine light will go a day or so later if I don't clear it myself. It will run without any problems for several weeks and then out of the blue do it again.
According to the codes and the dealer I need a new TB. The dealer wanted $550 to remove a few bolts and put a newTB on. The part is $360. I installed the Saleen SC myself so I think I could handle putting on a new TB. I've just been putting it off thinking it might mysteriously fix itself. Guess that's not gonna happen.
I'm just gonna beirritated if I put on a new TB and the problem isn't resolved.
Anyway, I guess my next step is to drop the cash for a new TB. I just wanted to see if any one has had this problem.
Thanks!

if you have a saleen blower, why dont you upgrade to the GT500 TB. it will cost about $150 more to get the adapter but you will probably pick up a few more pony's with it...just a though[8D]

If by TB you mean throttle body I had that exact same issue on my old honda. Check engine light would come on. Eventually it got to the point it was coming on constantly. And w/a 4cyl 92 horsepower engine "limp" mode is more like crawl on all 4's mode.
A new TB cured the problem - but I had the dealer install and holy crap was it expensive.

Probably a new TB will do the trick but first remove your TB and make sure you don't have any oil or buildup in there. Also check the spring and make sure it didn't get loose during the install. You may just need to clean yours or tighten the spring to fix the issue. Definitely do that first before shelling out the dough to replace it.

10,000 miles since my whipple and almost 22,000 on the car. I've only gotten the gas cap code.
