Default Should I re-tune?

went with 255/50/17 Nitto 555's in place of the factory 235/55/17 pirelli's. do i need to adjust the tire size with my predator and reflash? it's a totally different look too, the sidewall is much higher on the nitto and it's just a 50 instead of the stock 55. thanks a lot guys

The overall diameter of the wheel is now actually .14" smaller than stock.

And yes you should tune for it. If your speedometer reads 65 you are actually going 64.67.

Check the manufacturer's specs for tire revolutions per mile and compare that to the current setting in your tune. Change it if different. no biggie.

The sidewall on the Nitto is actually lower than stock (5.08" on the Pirelliand 5.01" on the Nitto.)

+1. The number 55 is 55% of 235mm on the stock tire, and 50 is 50% of 255mm. It hardly changes, so stock values are close enough.

Going from stock 742 revs/mile to 746 revs/mile should not make any difference.
At least not enough to warrant buying a tuner.

NO retune. Unless you are plaining on raising your car with monster tires.

If he has a tuner it's easy enough to fix it so it's 100% accurate. I know I would do it. I tend to agree that with such a small differential it's probably not worth buying a tuner if he doesn't already have one though. Doesn't everyone here have a tuner though?
