well 300 is enough...for now
besides what other car gives you 300hp at this price. it gives the those of us who want more power the option of getting it in different ways. we can have a lot or little. besides, more power means more suspension and brakes are required which would definitely increase the price of the car.

I think for a 25g dollar car w/ a sohc 4.6l v8 taking 87 oct gas that a pretty crazy number! I mean the 1st 4.6 only made what, 215hp????

they could make it a dohc 5.0L taking 93 oct and prolly get 400 np, and i bet that in there future...

Actually I guess that might be one of the reasons, Ford needed to make as much power as possible while keeping 25mpg and a sticker price ofabout 30K. Car manuafcturers need to make a lot of compromises, when none is required you get something like the Bugati Veirom
