Oil - so much has alreadybeensaid but its still unclear to me. My friends older ( something liek 2000 ) V6 calls for 5w-20, but in my 2006 manual it says 5W-30 for the 2006 V6 and 5W-20 for V8. My brother who lives in Germany says THERE IS "NO" 20 weight oil overthere for sale, (but I guess no Mustangs either
I think GT500 uses 5W-50, so why are we told to use 20 weight? I am driving on 0W-30 now but I would really like to get to the root of this. Do other cars with the Modular engines use 5W-20 too? Even the heavy duty trucks? Does anyone knows?
