I also have a ticking sound. It reminds me of an old sewing machine.
Same sound here, but mine is more noticeable when above 2k RPMS

Mine does, but its usually when I start up and Im in idle. When I put it in gear and go around the block it seems to go away for awhile but once the engine cools down it starts again.

If the sound is coming and going, you have a cam phaser going south.Very common omon 3v engines.
+1
Mine were ticking and my tuner turned off mine below 1500rpm.

Interesting article on something many of you probably haven't even thought about regarding aftermarket cams...worth a read

^^^^ That was a great article to read considering I'm getting those exact phaser installed with my SPR blower cams next week. I'm pretty excited, I just hope I don't break something driving from the shop thats installing the cams to the tuner shop. (about 15 miles)

Weve had alot of problems at the dealer with phasers going bad. Before anyone goes into the dealer, put on a motorcraft filter, otherwise, they may not cover it under warranty. We got a letter from ford stating that the main cause of phaser failures are due to aftermarker oil filters with no anti drainback valve. This causes oil issues on cold starts.Just giving you guys a heads up.

So do you think these phaser limiters might fix the problem that we are all having with the stock cam phasers. Also does anyone think that its even worth adding these phaser limiters onto a mild cam like comp cams stage 2 blower SPR cam? If it works like the article says it does then it should help find more power.
