I may use it in the tranny bu tI am not sure if I need the syncro mesh or the ATF formula. I have a 5speed manual. And ford says that it uses ATF?!

I used the RP SyncroMax. Seems to work very well, along with my MGW shifter.Very smooth, effortless shifts.

I was just viewing another site and apparently, there are folks over there with different makes and models than ours that have oil disappearing in their engines as well. Syncro MIGHT be OK, but I question any company that can't stop an oil from vaporizing away over the long haul.

Might be why the stuff starts out as a 5w20 but ends up being a 5w40 by the time you drain it.

From what I have read, Amsoil does the same thing. Don't know about redline though. Either way, I will stick with Mobil 1 as I have not been able to find any information that shows this mysterious thickening property of RP or Amsoil.
