Whats the deal with Diablosports MAFia?
So I just got my aftercooler from Vorteach and one of these things came with it. What is the deal with it? How do you use it? Does it really do anything? Can it work with SCT XCal 2?

RE: Whats the deal with Diablosports MAFia?
The MAFIA extends the MAF to read a little bit higher than what the stock MAF can do all by it's self. Refer to your instructions and ask your tuner if it should be installed with your kit. I do not know if the two are compatable.
I don't think there are any tuning Gurus here so you may need to ask somehwere else.

+1 from what I have read they work with SCT tuners. SCT is coming out with something similar I think but it will still work.
If you decide you dont need it PM what you would sell it for. I think I might need one when I get my dyno tune.

But why would you need one and I wouldn't?

You only need it if your MAF is pegged.
My MAF is reading in the low 900's at 8 psi, so there is a chance I might max it out when I go to 10psi and a dyno tune.
You will know if you need it or not when you have the car tuned.

Quick answer. If you are over 9 P.S.I. you could use one.
Longer story, No one really needs one. They just help out as one more tool your tuner can use to fine tune the setup. Even if you peg your MAF you can compensate for it by monitoring other sensors and adjusting fuel and spark accordingly. Like Lamda and knock counts, long term and short term fuel trim, mainfold presure and even intake temps. Alot of shops would rather just install one of these so they dont have to do the extra work.

I purchased a mafia when I hit 475 rwhp added the 3.2 pulley took me to 13 pounds and I still don't need to use the mafia, it's really close will see what happens when the weather cool's down a bit.
