Default One week old and this!

I just dont believe it!

1 week old after 700 miles on friday night (Yes the 13th) some little **** decided to run a key down the side and up the back on my new baby.

They didnt stop there.. They then proceeded to rip my wife's convertable roof apart with a knife and also to top it off also break into my land rover discovery and steal things from inside.

After doing 3 cars and causing about 20k (GBP) of damage they then trashed a church right next door!

I wish the UK had gun laws like the USA because i'd sit happily outside at night with my AK-47 !

Luckily the cops have blood (DNA) and they even left a beer can near the cars! The little **** also left more blood inside our cars (which i've been told is good for convictions!)

Now i have the lucky chore of getting someone in the UK to fix all 3 cars!

On the other hand i did race a 500 merc and an Audi S3 and killed both completely!

No frigging way dude - you are the guys in Crawley yeh? I have a grey with silver stripes GT and live in Milton Keynes - I cannot imagine that happening as my car is literally my baby!!! I am sooo sorry this has happened to you, I have noticed there is way more car crime over here in UK than the States, at least around Clearwater, Fl area! I also dont understand and never have why anyone would 'key' a car......I have always thought its the worst thing you could do to somebody - its not as if they are getting anything financially out of it either - I at least 'understand' why somebody would steal somethin, ie - money, etc as it benefits them....but how do these sons of ******* benefit from running there key up a car, urghhhhhhhhhhhhh! I think I would prefer somebody to steal my car than run a key down it!!!

Thank god I have mine garaged - part of your problem might be that this car stands out big time so it is gonna attract attention from losers at times - its stands out enough in the US but over here in the UK even more so!

I hope the insurance and repairs go ok for ya!

Hey guys thanks for the support there.

Nick - Clearwater... huh i've got a place in Tampa crime seems low there...

I'm near Crawley down a road with big houses with mercs and bentleys down and they pick on ours GRRRR...

I got a specialist to look at her today and they said for the best result the whole side will need to be resprayed as well as the rear lid. I've gone the whole way and put notices up appealing for witnesses (2500 GBP reward for a conviction) in the local area. That amount will make kids talk and its kids doing this crap!.

I would use my garage but my landrover parts live in there! (landrovers need lots of parts )

Good luck on the repairs I feel your pain as well.

I currently own a 97 convertible mustang and I parked in a parking garge for phat tuesday last year and when I came back people had ripped through the top of my car for the stereo and then after they were done they keyed it. I cursed and cursed and cursed and cursed. They had to replaced the top and dash board and repaint the car, and stereo. The pain in my heart is still there when I think about it and/or drive by the garage when I go downtown.

If you "Paid" to park in the garage, it is rightful to expect a certain amount of "protection" and so.. have you gone after the garage to recoupe some of the dammages?

If you parked for free!.. then it is "Park at your own risk".
