How about some pics.
Mine sits flush and level when disengaged.

well then i can tell you know that mine is not flush. is there anyway to take apart that trim piece and look down to see what is blocking it?

has anyone had their parking brake cables freeze? my 06 v6 did this and ford fixed the shoes on the parking brake. i am beginning to wonder if this is why my rear brakes look like they do all the work and fronts are still good.

I'd love to know how to take the stupid thing apart. I have a nice plastic vibration going on thanks to my stingers and crappy e-brake handle design. Drives me nuts. I'm pretty sure mine sits flush though...

It's not too much trouble to pull the center console. Once that's out, you can basically see the whole assembly. I can't remember if you have to pull both console parts out or just the top part. It's only two screws if the latter is the case.

Are you wondering why your back brakes are wearing fast, thats what driving with the TCS does. ALWAYS turn it off when ever you drive, it just eats up brake pads.

lifter583 are you kidding me. riding around with traction control on will eat up the rear brakes. what bearing does the tcs have on the rear brakes. beside keep the tires from spinning when i take off? that is something that i didnt know. thanks
