Default MAC prochamber

If the O/R MAC prochamber was installed, would it cause a horsepower/torque loss? due to not enough back pressure?

I currently have Pypes mid muffler exhaust, and was thinking of adding a MAC O/R prochamber. However I want to check:

Do I need a flash/program?
Does it cause HP/Trq loss?
How hard is the install? (I'd have to reinstall the cats in a couple years for emission inspection)

Any help would be appreciated.

If you go with the direct replacement pro chamber, it is a bolt on deal. You can easily remove it and put the stock mid pipe back in. You will only need a tune if you currently have cats.....need to turn off rear monitors for the cat deletes.

the prochamber is a great piece.

I had it on my 06 V6, and would love to eventually get the O/R version for the new 08 GT.

Just so you know, you cannot lose power because of no back pressure. In a 2-stroke engine you can, but not a 4-stroke.

And yet we've heard people here mention (no actually swearing) they can feel a loss in power that they attribute to a backpressure issue.

Are they imagining things? A yes answer is acceptable btw.

What would happen If I installed the O/R Prochamber without a tune? Would it run rough with the heck engine light on?

I know everyone says first mod should be tune + intake, but thats over $600.

my first mods to my car was longtubes and o/r prochamber. Without a tuner, and it drove fine. Cel would come on like once a week, i would just clear the code.
