Search youtube for my vids.
I had the MM system on with stock cats & manifolds.one of the best setups as far as sound IMO.
With headers & O/R H, it was too much for my tastes, only ran that combo for about a week.
I've a few short clips from the day we installed the headers, but was shot using a camera, so the quality stinks. But, compare it against the clip of straight, open headers & you'll see the MM didn't quiet it down much.
I've also got a few clips on there with the MM system & stock manifolds & cats.
Fitment is fair, but a shop will not have any problems.
I only had a very slight drone around 1950-2K & it was hardly even noticable.

[QUOTE=goldenglory18;5410860]WTF?...lol

I have noticed that the Pypes kit did sound cheap/funky at times. Thats been my whole beef with them from day one. Very unreliable tone, and a lot of quality control issues. That makes me rethink the whole GTA thing again.

So many choices, so little money...[/QUOTE
Good catch. I meant to say the pypes sounded cheap compared to the bassanis.

If you plan on getting new cats and l/t later then I would get the Kooks high flow cats and kooks headers. They sound sick with the pypes...

thanks again guys...

INFORMATION OVERLOAD!!!!!

I really want to hear this kit in person...I love (most) of the clips that I have heard on youtube. And that setup with the guy running his car on the track is absolutely pure sex. That plus the FRPP cams is what I want my car to sound like.

I have another week to think about it before I order. I also want to look into finding diffrent tips. the pypes are blech!

I also have the pypes mid muffler system, and am 100% satisfied. The install is more difficult than others systems, however they are the only company to offer a CAT-back system....(that i know of) if other companies offered this system im sure they would have complaints of "alignment issues" to be honest, with enough patients and proper tools you can get the kit to fit no problem.
There is nothing wrong with the quality of the system, and it can’t be beat for $300 shipped… I looked at corsa’s and they were $700!!

As for the sound, its a sexy upgrade from stock, took me weeks of sound clip searching to finally pick the pypes. Actually, it was Aircare84’s sound clips that made my decision, as I was going with stingers before I heard that clip.
Listening to 07 S197 post of http://videos.streetfire.net/video/147697.htm Im thinking of getting a mac pro-chamber as that is the best sound off a 05+ mustang yet (my opinion)

Ill make it short. These are my foutrh and last muffler. Best sounding muffler for these cars IMO! Minimal drone when compared to my stingers. They did have a rattle but I replaced the pypes tips with my slp LM's that I previously had and everything is great...

FRPP cams, HA!

Check this out, also anyone who likes this, call, email, and generally harass Comp till they make them.

Imagine that with a good exhaust.

Those Thumpr 3v cams are out. One MF member has them. The dyno results showed a good peak HP gain, but the torque loss below 4K is too much I think. I still say if you want NSR and a sick lope, the FRPP Hot Rods are the way to go.
