Default Stop bolt for boost actuator

Is it OK to keep the stop bolt out on my saleen S/C ? I don't see any harm in it. My boost still reads about 8 lbs when it should be 9 1/2 lbs. I did see 9 1/2 once today when at WOT it downshifted and boost shot up. It was wild! I can't figure out why I can't get it to 9 1/2 all the time.

Sorry I just saw the post. Let me post a picture. The valve on the far left is what controls the boost. The stop bolt actually keeps that valve straight and closed when at WOT or idle. If the bolt sticks out to far you won't have a flat valve so you might be loosing boost.

I spoke to saleen on this subject and their answer was to keep moving the bolt quarter turns until you get the boost you should be at. I put up with that answer for many months until I took the intercooler out to check for myself.

No problem, I understand your pain. I hated this blower for the longest time due to that bolt. If you need any help let me know. I've posted pages and pages of useless facts on this blower and my problems so I'm pretty sure I have been through it all atleast once.
