Hmm, why would you want to? Just point her straight on the highway and set the cruise...?

I reflash my tune every 3 months. The adaptive learing built into the PCM will "dumb down" your custom tune over time. Reflashing it every so often will keep your throttle response nice and crisp. That said - for a seven hour cruise at highway speed you probably won't notice any difference at all.

Why? Just be sure to keep the tuner on-hand in the event you can't get the 93 octane you need. I take 1-2, 800+ mile road trips per month and in the 1 year I've had my tunes and all those trips I only had 1 occasion where I couldn't get the octane I needed and was able to load the custom 87.

You never know when you'll be low on fuel and can only GET a lower octane. Just take it with you.

ALWAYS take your tuner! I took a run to Montana and 91 octane was all I could find. Tuned it down. Also according to Brenspeed when I asked, their tunes do not require a "refresher" retune.
