So I think he is going to make alot more than that. Unless whipple tune is crap.

But every car is different
The whipple tune isn't crap, it's just very conservative. My guess is that he is making just under 500rwhp, but only a dyno session can tell that tale.

I know my first tune only put down 396 rwhp, but when I got it dyno tuned I jumped up 101rwhp.... I would say it wasn't that good. I am NOT bashing anyone here, just saying!

You make a tune off of 1 car, and then make 1000 of them, every car is going to react to it different. But you never really know unless you take it to the dyno.

I just heard from Whipple and it looks like I am not running the H.O. 500 hp kit.

I am running the 2008 H.O. 550 hp kit. They said they have been running it on a 2005 for the past two years with no problems at all.

Kind of a mixed blessing I guess. I wanted the 10psi 500 kit, and that is what I ordered, but I got the 550 kit. Not quite sure what to do. Guess I need to get it on the dyno ASAP.

I guess we will see.....

my guess is 485 rwhp/ 475 tq.
come back w/ the results. funny how we want a lot of power when we order the SC, but when it's too much we get worried.
I still got my 3.375 pulley if you want it.

Well, my clutch is slipping in 4th and 5th gear on the highway. Does that help anyone's predictions? Only has about 3800 unmolested miles on it. I'm thinking there might be more power there than I asked for.

Anyone using their stock clutch, or is it worthless at this level of power?

yea sounds like your pushing the power if its slipping in 4th and 5th. I would get it on a dyno asap if your going to keep that pulley on.

Understood. Thanks guys. Looks like it might be sitting for a bit until I can get it dyno'ed.

I was told with a stock bottom end don't go over 500rwhp! ticking time bomb!!

But my car only gets driven once a week, and babied at that too, so with that I pushed a little bit more, my car will never see the track, I built it too have a fun street car, it is NOT a track car... To each his own...

498rwhp 475rwtq. That's my guess. You'll need a new clutch before you hit the dyno.
