Default Drilling sound when accelerating??

I have an 06 GT I got it from Carmax with 7.2k miles on it about a month ago and the past week I have noticed that when I accelerate hard and really get on it I hear a Dentist drill type sound that seems to be coming from under the hood I don't mind it kinda sounds like a supercharger whine I just want to know if it could be something hurting my car? If it helps I live in LA so the weather is usually 75-90 degrees.

i have to be honest with you, your the first person that ive heard say it sounds like a denist drill under their car. It doesnt really sound good though.. You say when you accelerate hard, what about just accelerating from like 50-60 in about 5 seconds would you hear it then? Also if its in neutral and you rev it, does it still make it?

What would be rubbing together or whatever to actually cause the sound trying to make sense of it >.<

What would be other signs of the tranny having issues? Only other thing that seems off happened this morning when I was leaving it must have been 65 degrees and I had just started the car I went to put it in drive and accidentally went to 3rd then moved it back in drive i was holding the brake of course but when i went from 3rd into drive tere was a slight grinding noise/feel but it hasn't happened again since and i have been in and out of it like 8 times today. Im sorry for all the noobish questions im new to this whole car thing
