Default That Smell

What is it?

With every '05-'08 I've tested, new or used, including the one my wife bought me, you get on the gas, and then there's that smell...

Of course, it must be coming from the cats. Do catbacks eliminate the problem? If not, what does?

I have no idea what you are talking about. Maybe when you get on the gas it scares the sh*t out of you and that's what you smell.

all 3 of my s197's have had that burning smell until they got the first 1000 miles on them. my trans in the 08 was noisy when shifting under 2000rpms but all gone now along with the smell of everything getting broke in.
to the op how many miles are on the one your wife just bought you? and yeah keep her around.
