I highly doubt that it will get rid of the drone ^^^^

If I had to guess I would say adding an x-pipe might decrease some drone...

I used to run off road x and stingers... it will drone at highway speeds with stock gears.

if i was gonna add a resonator like pypes mid mufflers id just go ahead and take of the bassani's and put straight pipes in the place of mufflers
So basically it would be easier to sell your bassani and buy the pypes mid mufler set up, its just 300 bucks

Anybody ever heard the bassani race axlebacks with an or x pipe? Does it sound mean? Any power gains?

1-2 hp gain at most. So don't count on a power gain.
I have a Bassani catted-X. The exhaust got a lot meaner when I added that - although I think the mean-ness came from the high-flow cat instead of the X. It was almost like adding headers.

Anybody try dynamat to attenuate the drone? I've wondered about that. Wish I'd have tried it before parting with my Stingers.

I installed Corsa's on my 08 Shelby GT. No drone.
With Kooks long tube headers and high flow cats, the car sound awesome.
Comp NSR "thumper cams" put the icing on the cake....
