Default Bad throttle position sensor

Has anyone experienced any problems with a bad throttle position sensor (TPS)? A friend of mine did in his '05 and found the throttle plates were carboned up and oily. He read that there is a service bulletin out on the 4.6 engines from 05-07's about this. My '07 also was having an occasional lack of power especially in reverse. We both have MagnaChargers on our cars which may make this problem worse. He is going to have Ford replace the part, I hope that solves the problem.

I cleaned my throttle body when I installed the supercharger and haven't had any problems with the tps.
