Dyno Results - Gen 1 Whipple
Hello all.
I finally got my dyno tune from VMP and to say I am pleased with the results is an understatement. I am not big on dyno numbers but they are fun to look at.
Best pull was 484rwhp and I think the torque was around 470rwtq.
I dont have the graphs yet but I will be getting them emailed and I will post them up as soon as I get them.
I have to say the car defineatly pulls harder than before. I also notice a big difference in driveability. The throttle opens alot sooner and makes the car feel faster. Alot like when you get a email tune to replace the stocker.
I will actually have to relearn driving it again as it really wants to run so I have to be even more delicate with the throttle.
Wanted to post a vid but the wife had the camera to take Halloween pictures at her school, (she's a teacher).
Now I just have to get the exhaust figured out and a alum D/S and I am done with my pre-forging set up.

Those are great numbers. I just had mine dynoed yesterday and put down 471 hp and 473 tq but the run was stopped at 6100 rpm. I was also impressed with the vmp tune as it feels much better then the frpp tune. The guy that dynoed my car was suprised that the air/fuel stayed between 11.8 and 12.1.

congrats guru! i'm pretty sure you put on the
3.375 pulley, or else i would be real po'd at
whipple right about now, for selling me a lemon lol
glad it's running up to potential and i'm also glad
you decided on the whipple, after a long soul
searching period (that i remember very well).

Those torque numbers from both of you guys is awesome. I think many people over look torque. Those kind of numbers in a 3500lb+ car is going to be real fun and move those cars really well. I cant wait until I get a twin screw sc. Congrats.
