your best bet may be to call lethal performance
or brenspeed, they are both excellent sources
for parts and they know all about cali
requirements

Here is the CARB website, scroll down towards the bottom and select manufacturer and then select device type, it will list are devices that are carb approved. You will need to go through the list to find your make and model for that device, but if it is on there it is approved.

The question to ask is can it be brought to standards when it's time for emissions. I don't live in California. However the last time I went for emissions they did a visual including a rolling mirror under my pickup and checked the OBD port for malfunctioning (turned off) emissions control devices. They were enforcing EPA guidelines which are fairly strick in themselves. That experience makes me think hard about what I do to my car.

the debate is...you can just switch out any non carb parts for stock come smog time but thats many hours of working backwards and i really dont want to do that...thanks for the help guys.
